It was an absolute pleasure to capture La Cucina X Goonown Growers epic outdoor supper over the weekend.
Events like this sit in wonderfully stark contrast to the ultra-processed, pre-prepared and plastic-packaged world of supermarket offerings. The golden light surely helped, but to dine surrounded by a garden of organic produce and to see it cooked in front of your eyes is really something special.
Such grassroots farm-to-table dining combined with the theatre of outdoor cooking goes a long way in reframing the food we eat, from how it's grown through to consumption. Zero added chemicals, zero food miles and a whole lot of care in every detail is a certain recipe for (re)igniting our connection with real, local food.
