Celebrating winter
Embracing the British winter with all its drama, solitude and subtleties in a blog post written for The Beaver Trust.
After time away in wintry conditions, the shift in seasons is palpable back home. The sun is shining, the birds are singing and this year’s growing attempts are underway.
Spring is my favourite time of year, but recently I’ve surprised myself at how much I’ve enjoyed winter. Perhaps it’s the wild edge it often has along the coast here or the radiant light that follows the rain, but I definitely now cherish the season for its drama, solitude and subtleties.
As winter draws to a close, I’ve been reflecting on its splendours and thought I’d shared some musings on this new-found celebration of winter that I wrote in a blog post for Beaver Trust.
